Over the years, the scientists at KKI Labs have been developing various tricks related to StepMania, later moving to sm-ssc after being brought into the spinal shark collective. (The result? An updated version of the CustomSpeedMods script was included in sm-ssc's fallback theme. UserPreferences and EnvUtils2 are also included.)
KKI Labs originally created themes, but over time, song BGAnimations and minigames were developed as well.
