With the introduction of Lua, StepMania 5 allows you to do some pretty crazy things. This extends to a number of files that used to only be graphics before. Some of these files include the various MusicWheelItem graphics. Using this knowledge, I set out to create an iTunes-like interface for ScreenSelectMusic.
Concepts/Ideas Used
- Using Lua for elements (MusicWheelItem Song)
- Grabbing info from SetMessage, including song information.
Notes
It's also probably possible to do most of this with the TextBanner, aside from getting the time. Since you have to use SetMessage to get the time, you might as well set the song title and artist in the same place. It's all up to you.
